Hard Water
What is hard water? H.W is
water that contains cautions with a charge of +2 especially ca2+ and mg2+.
These ions are not a health hazard. K.H & G.H are
usually close two each other, but the G.H can be
the same, higher or lower to the k.h depend on the
cations & anions in the sample. For example, a large amount of M.G so4 would
raise and not the (k.h.)
H.W interferes with almost every cleaning task from laundry
to dishwashing & personel grooming. clothes laundered in H.W
may look dingy & feel harsh & scrachy. dishes & glasses may be spotted when dry. H.W may couse a film on glass shower doors & walls, bathtubs, sinks, faucet,ect.
