Plate tectonics

There are 8 major tectonic plates.

One of the major plates is the Antarctic plate which is what we are mainly focusing on.

Here are all the other major plates.

Eurasian plate, North American plate, South American plate, African plate, Pacific plate, Indian plate, Nazca plate.

Tectonic plates are what cause Earthquakes by two plates or more rubbing together and the friction is what causes earthquakes. The stronger the friction the larger the earthquakes.
