Volcanoes

The volcanoes are along the edge of the plates because they are rubbing together. Earthquakes also happen because of the plates rubbing together. Because of the way the plates are moving, they make volcanoes and/or earthquakes. Some of the movement makes new land and some movement pushes land under so it is no longer above the water.

This picture shows active ploted volcanoes around the earth. Most of the volcanoes are ploted along the edges of the continents because of the plates rubbing together.
