Foosball
(table soccer)
Foosball can be up to an eight player game, but it might be crowded. The recommened amount of players is 2-4 players. It is a game for all ages, a family game, a fun way to entertain your guests at parties of all types.
The Game of Foosball:
Foosball was originated in either Germany or France during the late 1800's. It was imported to the U.S. in the 1950's, and has been a fun, exciting game ever since. There are now professional foosball trading cards! Foosball was invented by a frenchman named Lucien Rosengart, he invented the minicar, frontwheel drive, the seatbelt, and of course babyfoot, his name for foosball. It used to be a tavern game, but has turned into a tournament game of which you can win up to $250, 000!
Two people stand on each side side of the table when you are playing with four people, usually one person on the back two rods(defense and midfield) and one on the front two(foreward and midfield). Some people play where when the very back rod, the goalie and his helpers score a goal it is worth two points. Some people spin, just to give there shot an extra kick, but it bends the poles if you do it too much, so you can also play by twisting the rod and not spinning it all the way around. Most foosball tables have scoring bars at the ends of each side, and you play the first team to ten points. I am warning you now, that if you shoot at the goal really hard, the ball might bounce out of the goal and back onto the playing board.
