C.Kinds of Faults

1.If you try to break a caramel candy barin two, it may only bend and stretch at first. Like a candy bar many types of rocks can bend or fold. But beyond a certain limit, even these rocks will break. And its takes less stress to snap a brittle rock than it does to snap one that can bend.

2. When enough stress bulids up in a rock, the rock breaks, creating a fault. A fault is breaks in the earth's crust where slabs of crust slip past each other. The rock on both sides of a fault can move up or down or side to side. Fault unusally occur along the plate's boundaries, where the forces of a plate's motion compress, pulled, or shear the crust breaks.

TIP:There are three main types of faults: strike slip fault, normal fault, and a reverse fault. And thats your tip.
