Plate tectonics info on the Indian/ indo Australian Plate
Our plate was named the Indian plate because it has all of indian and part of the Atlantic ocean. It was also named the indo Austrailian plate.
The progress of the scince and the advancement of technologie and the assoctaited with the understanding of our planet during the 1940's & 1950's have led geologists to develop a new way of looking at the world and how it works . This exhibet explains the history of the new understanding of the earth and provides a brief overview of the theories behind it.
