Wegener
Wegener used the evidence he found in the past research of the climate change to support his theory for example, from this is land of spits berg. Wegener was using this info he found for continental drift. He started his theory back when this island Spits berg had the same bones as Africa and the island and Wegener started his exploration. Spits berg is in the Arctic Ocean north of Norway. This island is ice covered and has a harsh polar climate. But there are fossils that are found on Spits berg and more. The fossils are mostly Tropical plants witch are found on and near spits berg. The plants that they have found lived about three million years ago, this island most have had a worm and mid climate. Wegener was convinced Spits burg had to be located near the equader. Acording to Wegener's theory, earths climate has not changed instead the positons of the continents have chaged. As a continent moves tword the poles, its climate becomes colder. But the continent carees with it the fosils and rocks that form at it's preeveus location. These clues proved evedence that continental; drift really happened.
