Dissolved Oxygen

Dissolved is oxygen in the water. The oxygen

enters the water by the Atmosphere and by plant photosynthisis.

D.O ranges from 0-18 ppm(parts per million). Most natural habitates require 5-6 ppm.Species such as Mayfly, caddisfly larva, and beetle larva, cannot tolerate a big decrease in D.O level.

Our Results

We got 13ppm.Its Really good because 0 is the worst rate and  18 is the best range and 13 is prety close to 18.

What this means

This means that there is alot of oxygen in the in the Chimacum creek.

What we used

We used the D.o probe to test the D.O  rate in Chimacum creek.

This is the dissolved oxygen probe.
