Here is a team member puting some creek water in a filter system wich filters out the water and the Bacteria gets stuck on the filter pad.
As you can see in this picture[above],there is no fecal coliform bacteria on this pitri dish, that is a good thing.
We are pumping starelized water into the filter with a syringe.

Fecal Coliform is so small, you would have to use a microscope to see the bacteria.

Yes,our results are good and so are the other results like:D.o. kit,probe,co2 kits,ph kit,phosphates,nitrates,ect.
What is Fecal Coliform Bacteria?
Fecal Coliform Bacteria is waste from humans and animals.
Why do we test for Fecal Coliform Bacteria?
We do tests to see if our creek is healthy or not heathy,it could also affect the salmon population,because the salmon use the creek to get to the ocean or to get to the spawn areas.
As you can see in this picture[above],this icubader is baking the bacteria in the pitri dish with bacteria food that grows bacteria and we test it after 24 hours.
